One trailer for the upcoming drama “The Heirs” was good but a second trailer is even better. And that may be because it shows scenes of Lee Min Ho surfing.
The surfing scenes were filmed in Malibu and the actor was seen filming them on a Malibu Beach on Sept. 17. In the trailer you can see shots of him battling the waves on a surfboard. He looks like a pro, thanks to the surfing lessons that he took in preparation for the role.
According to the production crew, the actor worked hard at the grueling physical scenes but he did not give in to fatigue and remained very considerate of cast and production staff members.
And if you wondered where exactly Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye filmed in California, the trailer offers a few quick flashes of strategic locations, including film studios and the Hollywood sign.
Kdrama star Park Shin Hye is shown as a girl who is impressed by being in Hollywood. From the trailer it seems as if her character, Cha Eun Sang and Lee Min Ho’s character Kim Tan will be friends before they become a couple.
But there will be a love triangle.
The latest photo stills show Kim Woo Bin gazing lovingly at Park Shin Hye as he eats a cup of instant ramen in a convenience store. His character Choi Dong Yo is the heir to a resort while Park plays a poor working girl.
The series about the wealthy young heirs who attend an exclusive high school has acquired a huge following before viewers got to see the first episode. Hwa and Dam, the show’s production company has been surprised by the enthusiastic anticipation generated by their upcoming drama. Photo clips of cast members have generated between 40 to 50 thousand views.
According to a representative from Hwa and Dam, the scenes are being filmed with the greatest care.
“We will do our best to produce the best drama ever,” said the production company representative.
The drama is not only anticipated for its star-studded cast, which includes Choi Jin Hyuk, Kang Ha Neul, Park Hyung Sik and Krystal but also for its writer and director, who have their share of successful screen credits. Kim Eun Sook, who wrote “Secret Garden,” has written the series. Kang Sin Hyo who directed “Midas” and “Tazza” is the director.
“The Heirs” begins Oct 9 and will air 20 episodes.
