Rumors are circulating that Ian Somerhalder is reportedly dissing Nina Dobrev by expressing regret over working with her in "The Vampire Diaries."
"What we've just started shooting is such a departure (from what is expected of the show)," Ian Somerhalder reportedly told Variety about the development of the story of "The Vampire Diaries" without Nina Dobrev.
"I just started shooting episode 10, which is a concept episode. The episode was really about Damon, but that's not why I think it was the best at all. The way the story was put together ... every artisan from set to producers to wardrobe to everyone was just so on-point."
Is Somerhalder enjoying the show better know that Dobrev is no longer his co-star?
It could be recounted that Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder dated back when they were still co-stars in "The Vampire Diaries."
After the two broke up, Ian Somerhalder dated Nina Dobrev's friend, Nikki Reed. Ian and Nikki tied the knot earlier this year.
In an exclusive sit-down interview with E! News' Maria Menounos earlier this year, Nina opened up about her break up with her former Vampire Diaries co-star.
"I've said this before, that we didn't break up because anything bad happened or because there wasn't love or friendship. I love him and the friendship is still strong and I think he's great and I care about him. And that didn't change," Nina Dobrev said, as quoted by E! Online.
"Yes, we're professional and that's fine. We were friends long before we dated and we still are now,"
Commenting on Ian Somerhalder's wedding with Nikki Reed, Nina Dobrev reportedly said there's no bad blood between her and Ian despite rumors that it is allegedly the reason why Nina left the Vampire Diaries.
"When I heard about the wedding, I thought it was beautiful. They look happy and I am happy and so I don't see why there should be a problem with that. The drama is in the media, it's not with us," Dobrev added.
"But of course, we're on a teen drama show, everyone's going to look for drama. If there's no drama, there's nothing to write about. I just ignore it," the former "The Vampire Diaries" star continued.
