Adele has stolen the music world with her brand new release, “25.” However, she will not be nominated for the Grammy Awards because the album was released too late in the year. While the British talent sold more than 4 million copies of “25” and her songs are clearly “Grammy winners” in disguise, she will have to wait for her turn next year.
Adele’s “25” sold a million copies faster than any other album in the history of UK charts. Adele’s first single, “Hello” raked in 1.11 million downloads in a week on the Billboard Hot 100. This is a record for the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 charts, according to the Nielson Music analyst.
With an unreserved space for Adele’s “Grammy-winning” songs, other singing sensations in the limelight like Taylor Swift will be the most favorite nominees.
Even Taylor Swift could face stiff competition from new artists. Swift has been releasing consisting hits like “Bad Blood,” and is ranked in the top category-nominations for the
58th Grammy Awards.
Swift has seven nominations on hand along with the “Weeknd.” Kendrick Lamar, a rapper from California leaps ahead with 11 nomination-categories.
When the 2015 Grammy Awards nominees were announced, Adele’s fans took to twitter to express their dissent:
"For the 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards, albums must be released between Oct. 1, 2014 and Sept. 30, 2015," the Grammy Award website said in a report by EOnline.
