Lindsay Lohan news reported how the "Mean Girls" star is busy with her movie comeback. According to a report from People, the once-troubled actress even posted an Instagram photo from the set of her new film.
The 29-year-old is visibly excited in her selfie, which was uploaded to the photo-sharing site earlier this week. Entitled "The Shadow Within," the project is Lindsay Lohan's first movie in two years after her 2013 film "The Canyons," plus a Lifetime TV movie entitled "Liz and Dick."
"My first day on my new film! Will be sending a sneak peak of my character this week #theshadowwithin," Lindsay Lohan captioned the snapshot.
Prior to posting about "The Shadow Within," Lindsay Lohan has been making news because of her plans to make a major career comeback.
According to a previous report from Radar Online, the former Disney star is ready to make films again after allegedly overcoming her battles with alcohol and drugs.
"Lindsay is doing better than she has in years," an insider said.
"She is determined to be a movie star again."
"Lindsay plans to return home to her family in New York for a bit and is then heading to L.A. because she has three big movies that she is getting ready to star in," the insider detailed.
Aside from returning to the big screen, Lindsay Lohan also made news recently after winning a case against a former business partner.
According to a report from Mirror UK, the actress was sued along with her brother, Michael Lohan Jr, by a certain Fima Potik.
The tech developer slammed Lindsay Lohan and her group with a restraining order to run an app called Vigme, who he claims was an idea stolen from his fashion app named Spotted Friend.
However, a court decision released last month sided with the former child star.
"Fima has disobeyed three court orders to produce proof that he had a working app by June 2013, something he was never able to prove," Lindsay Lohan's lawyer pointed out.
"He is a spoiled little wannabe trust-fund baby who wants to hang out with Lindsay and who got himself a lot of ink by suing."
