Porsche, automobile company, has declined the charges against them that the "Fast and Furious" actor Paul Walker died because of the malfunction of their Carrera GT car model, according to The Fortune. Paul dies in a tragic car accident in the year 2013 on November 30, when his car struck a light pole and trees and caught fire within moments.
The charges were pressed by Meadow Walker, daughter of Paul Walker, in September this year saying that the car lacked safety features for the passengers travelling in it. Porsche has declined all the claims against them saying that the lawsuit filed against them was wrong and that the actor died due to his own fault, reported iSchoolguide.
The lawyers of the company also said that the car in which Paul was travelling was at high speed which led to the accident. The company accepted the responsibility that the model of the car was a defective piece and was under constant maintenance. Porsche also claimed that the actor knew about the fault in the car and still didn't go for proper maintenance and misused the automobile.
According to The Auto News, the company's lawyers have made their point saying that even if the car's model lacked some features, Walker was equally responsible for his death. On this statement, close representative of Paul's daughter has said that these are very sad state of affairs as the company is trying to run off from their responsibility by blaming Paul for his own death.
He also claimed that the car was not designed to protect its passengers even on dry roads and at capable speed range which is one of its top features. "If Porsche had designed the car to include proper safety features, Paul would have survived, he would be filming 'Fast and Furious 8' and Meadow Walker would have the father she adored," said the representative, as quoted by TMZ.
