South Korean actress Kim Min Hee has given birth to a healthy baby boy with director Hong Sang Soo.

According to a report by Yonhap News, the child was born on April 8, and Kim is currently recovering at a postpartum care center in Hanam, just outside of Seoul.
Speculation about Kim's pregnancy first surfaced in January when rumors began circulating online.
The following month, she was photographed at Incheon International Airport with Hong, visibly pregnant.
The couple's relationship has been a source of public controversy since it was first confirmed in 2017.
Hong, who was married at the time, admitted to having an affair with Kim. The two began dating in 2016 after working together on the film Right Now, Wrong Then.
Hong filed for divorce from his wife, but the proceedings were ultimately unsuccessful after his spouse reportedly refused to accept the necessary legal documents.
The director and his estranged wife share one daughter.
Despite public backlash, Kim and Hong have continued to live together and collaborate professionally for nearly a decade.
Their most recent appearance together was in February.
No official statements have been released by either Kim or Hong regarding the birth, but reports indicate both mother and child are in good health.
