"Fifty Shades Darker" star Jamie Dornan recently revealed that he is quite excited to reprise his role as Christian Grey in the sequel.

The actor insisted that he is looking forward to play the role of the business tycoon in the franchise's second installment.

"I'm looking forward to embodying Christian again - and getting a chance to show more of him," Dornan said in an interview to People Magazine.

"Fifty Shades Darker" is the sequel to the Fifty Shades trilogy based on the erotic romance novels by E.L. James. In the second book, Christian reunites with recent college grad Anastasia Steele, played by Dakota Johnson, after they split at the end scene of the previous novel.

The sequel will also introduce three new characters, namely, Mrs. Robinson, Jack Hyde and Leila Williams. Each of these characters will play an important role in the lives of both Christian and Anastasia.

Dornan, who is People's "Sexiest Shade of Grey Alive," is currently filming the BBC psychological thriller "The Fall" in Ireland. He said that the one thing he loves the most about the show is the fact that he gets to film in the place where he grew up in.

"Getting to film in Belfast [where I grew up] and being surrounded by fellow Irish people," he added.

In related news, Dornan is reportedly expecting his second child with wife Amelia Warner. The couple got married in 2013 and is already parents to 23 months old daughter, Dulcie, reported Venture Capital Post.

The actor has also bought a new mansion worth £1.75 million in a secluded woodland area. The new property has five spacious bedrooms split over three floors, two reception rooms, perfectly landscaped gardens, a tennis court, and a massive swimming pool, according to Latin Post.

The sequel to "Fifty Shades of Grey" will be directed by James Foley and is expected to hit theaters on February 10, 2017, with its sequel, "Fifty Shades Freed" to be released in 2018.
