Congratulations to Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello, who wed Sunday at The Breakers Resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
The actress stunned in the bandeau cleavage-enhancing dress which featured intricate embroidery, pearls, sequins and crystals, reported FemaleFirst.
Sofia's much-talked about custom-made wedding dress reportedly took 1,657 hours to make. According to Femalefirst, the "Modern Family" star, 43, worked closely with designer Zuhair Murad on the wedding gown.
The actress had previously said that she wanted to look "sexy" in her wedding dress and the designer did his best to ensure that the white, strapless, silk-tulle creation which featured a sweetheart neckline, hand-embroidered 3D embellishments, detachable skirt and pearl beaded belt, showed off her famous curves. The stunning design, covered in more than 11 pounds of sequins and 6 pounds of pearls, required 32 people to work around the clock to complete it on time.
"I was delighted to have the opportunity to collaborate with Sofia on her dream wedding gown.
"I wanted Sofia to look phenomenal on her wedding day, showing off her hourglass physique and enhancing her famous curves. She expressly said that she wanted to look sexy, so I created a design that blended soft sensuality from the transparencies of tulle with the ornate glamour of ornamented embroideries and mini pearls," Murad told people.com.
Addition of pearls and sequins in the intricate bead work made Sofia's wedding gown even more eye-catching. The actress teamed the dress with a pair of pear-shaped diamond drop earrings by Lorraine Schwartz that weighed in at a whopping 55 carats. She also wore a diamond encrusted hair clip in her tresses, and finished with a diamond-studded bracelet, both also by Schwartz, reported US Weekly.
Also Vergara's engagement ring, which boasts a 7-carat, emerald-cut center stone surrounded by diamonds, was designed by the same jeweler.
After the wedding ceremony was over, Vergara took to Instagram to thank Schwartz, Murad, and her wedding planners for helping to create a fairy-tale wedding.
"Goodnight. Gracias @mindyweiss @jeffleatham @zuhairmuradofficial @lorraineschwartz for helping us make our dream come true," she noted, adding some heart-shaped emojis.
