"Madame Antoine" has an air date. Originally rumored to start in November, the air date has been pushed back for three months. The romantic weekend drama, starring Han Ye Seul and Sung Joon, will now air in February 2016.
According to the Korean media outlet OSEN, the cable channel JTBC will first rebroadcast the drama "Padam Padam: The Sound Of His And Her Heartbeats," starring Jung Woo Sung, Han Ji Min and Kim Bum. "Padam Padam" will run from November 27 to January 30.
So, "Madam Antoine" is set for February, just in time for Valentine's Day.
"Birth of a Beauty' Star Han Ye Seul will play Ko Hye Rim in "Madam Antoine." She's a famous but fake fortuneteller who uses the name Madam Antoine, claiming to be spiritually connected to the French queen Marie Antoinette. But she's a fraud. Madam Antoine can't really predict the future or chart anyone's destiny. She is good at reading people's personalities and knowing what it is they long for. That's how she fools people.
Sung Joon plays Choi Soo Hyun, a respected psychologist with a loyal following among Hollywood's stars. Choi is talented at understanding how past trauma influences the way a person acts in the present. But he does not understand how his traumatic past influenced his inability to love, so these iinsightful characters have something to offer each other.
Madam Antoine takes part in a test given by Choi Soo Hyun. It's a test to prove that love does not exist, something Choi personally believes is true. Since "Madam Antoine" is a romantic comedy, the test may very well lead to true love.
Sung Joon, has lately become known as the King of Romantic Comedy, because of his roles in "High Society," "Discovery of Romance," and "I Need Romance 3." "Hong Jin Ah, who wrote "Future's Choice" and "King 2 Hearts" has written the screenplay for the drama.
Kim Yoo Cheol who directed "My Name Is Kim Sam Soon" and "Can We Marry?" will direct "Madam Antoine." He worked with Sung Joon in the drama "Can We Marry."
