Kim Soo Hyun may pay up to $100 million in damages after Disney+ postponed the release of his upcoming drama Knock Off amid an ongoing controversy.

Disney Plus has decided to suspend the first season of Knock Off, which stars Kim as the lead, indefinitely, according to industry insiders as per Money Today on March 27.
The second season, which was nearly finished, is also on pause.
The postponement comes as Kim faces allegations of an inappropriate relationship with actress Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor.
With a reported budget exceeding KRW 60 billion (about USD 41.6 million) for the project, the streaming platform may also sue the actor for damages should the show be canceled.

Assuming Kim Soo Hyun's reported earnings represent 10–20% of the production budget, the potential lawsuit could demand he pay damages amounting to KRW 18 billion (about USD 12.3 million), not to mention the further financial implications that could follow.
Reactions online have been fast, with netizens voicing their frustration with the situation.
Numerous demanded that Disney proceed with litigation.
