Having a chef for a husband does have its advantages and pitfalls. And "Law & Order: SVU" actress Stephanie March just found how when one of the things she thought about after the divorce from Bobby Flay was the need to know her way around the kitchen.
"I thought I would have to learn to cook, cause I'm not really a very good cook and I thought, 'I'm gonna have to pick up a few tricks,'" she told Extra TV. "But as it turns out I go out a lot, so looks like I don't have to... My toast is amazing... my cereal is incredible."
But even after the divorce from Bobby Flay, Stephani March still considers herself very blessed.
"Business is good, I have great friends, I love my new place, it's really a good time in my life," she said. "It's not pleasant to see your private life out there, but, you know, I consider myself pretty lucky."
Stephanie March also gained a lot of perspective.
"I am by no means the only person to ever go through this and I'm very cognitive of that, and I have a wonderful support network of really good friends and really good family so I don't spend a lot of time feeling sorry for myself about it," she added.
The ex-couple split in March this year after 10 years.
Bobby Flay and Stephanie March's divorce statement said, "We have come to an amicable divorce settlement. We look forward to putting this difficult time behind us, and we ask that you respect our privacy as we move forward."
In a previous interview for The New Potato, Stephanie March said that amid all the challenges down her way, "I am utterly blessed with good friends and family."
The "Law & Order: SVU" actress added, "The best advice I ever received was this year: 'Now is not the time to stop being the person you always have been. People show up for you because of who you are, not what you can do for them.' And she was right."
