Chris Brown reunited with Rihanna for a new song, fueling speculations that the former couple miss each other.

According to a report from MTV, the R&B star pushed back the official launch of his upcoming new album "Royalty" from Nov. 27 to Dec. 18. While waiting for the release, Chris Brown surprised fans with a 34-track mixtape entitled "Before the Party."

What listeners did not expect is a surprise collaboration between Chris Brown and ex-girlfriend Rihanna. The two dated for around two years until the "Umbrella" diva was assaulted by her then beau in 2009.

Proving that they are professional enough to still work together, the ex-couple teamed up alongside Wiz Khalifa and Kelly Rowland for the song "Counterfeit," which is the opening track in Chris Brown's mixtape.

Prior to their collaboration, rumors have been circulating about how the former couple both still have feelings for each other.

According to a recent report from Hollywood Life, an insider revealed how much Chris Brown misses Rihanna.

"He misses her," the insider shared. "He always has."

"She's a good woman and he loves her to death. He thinks she's drop dead beautiful with a soul that only an angel could have."

The insider also said that Chris Brown is eager to spend even just a little time with the Barbadian beauty, clarifying that the crooner's intentions are pure. "He'd give anything just to have a meal with her," the insider said.

"Not sex. Just a meal. Just to talk. Just to look at her and witness her beauty all over again."

"It's the simple things he's after these days. He doesn't know if it will happen but in the meantime, a man can dream, can't he?" the insider added.

A related report from Media Takeout revealed that Rihanna also has similar hopes for her controversial ex-boyfriend. The Grammy-winning songstress also wants to be more careful this time around.

"[Rihanna] is taking it slowly," said a source.

"She still loves Chris and wants to make sure that this time they do it right."
