The petition to bring back "Witches of East End" this 2015 after its cancellation is still gaining fan support as it's almost nearing its goal of 250,000 signatures as of this writing.
The letter was uploaded by Kathryn E. Perry to iPetitions where she wrote that when news about the "Witches of East End" was cancelled, "it just about ripped out the hearts of every WoEE fan the show reeled in."
"Myself, the creator, and the fans of this amazing television series are asking that you please take into deep consideration, this petition's request," she wrote.
"This show had brilliant actors and actresses, fantastic storylines that left us seating on the edge of our seat in anticipation and a wonderful energy to the show in general. All of this was lost.. if we don't pull together and show our support for this outstanding television show, this movie will never be made!"
For fans who would like to get their fix of the "Witches of East End" this 2015, they can buy the book by Melissa de la Cruz, "Summer on East End: Triple Moon."
"When Witches of East End went off the air in 2014, the story ended on a cliffhanger. I asked Fox 21, who produced and owns the show, if they would be willing to let me tie up the story lines so that fans would receive some closure," dela Cruz said in the book. "To my delight, they said yes. (Thank you, Fox 21!!) I was told to keep a few of the story lines unresolved, just in case the show ever gets picked up again. (Hope never dies!)"
And Madchen Amick already brought her own copy just to make sure she gets closure after Lifetime canceled the series. She posted a photo on Twitter while holding the book as she wrote, #TripleMoon arrived just in time f/ #witchEEwednesday -thx @MelissadelaCruz ! I know what my wknd reading will be..."
To date, the petition to bring back "Witches of East End" already gathered 232,232 signatures. Whether the studio will be persuaded into renewing the series is still very much up in the air, although if it's going to be back it won't likely be this 2015.
