It has been announced that OnePlus 2 does not require an invite anymore, so anyone can buy the new phone anytime online the way they can with any other smartphone. The OnePlus Two for India is now released and is likewise invite-free, reported Android Central.

Those who are interested can go to Amazon India to buy the smartphone. The Sandstone Black 64GB OnePlus 2 is priced $380 in India. China-based original equipment manufacturer OnePlus will launch a 16GB 3GB RAM variant in India later.

In celebration of its second anniversary on Dec. 17, OnePlus makes OnePlus 2 global variant available invite-free from Dec. 5. There is no need for an invitation as well, to buy OnePlus X from Dec. 5 to 7. Ringing on the holiday spirit, the company also offers discounts on various accessories, said Tech First Post.

Another offering is the OnePlus 2 StyleSwap at 50 percent off. There is also 90 percent savings on select accessories of OnePlus One. Other accessories are at 10 percent off. As a special gift for the holidays, an exclusive Never Settle mouse pad is given to a "limited number of the first orders."

OnePlus is known for both making competitive handsets but with unique marketing strategies. No one would be able to directly buy its products except with an invitation, much to the dismay of interested buyers when OnePlus One was launched.

OnePlus 2 is a contender of phones like Google Nexus 6P with its superior specs but with a lower price. Its metal-frame design gives the handset a premium look. Aside from its 5.5-inch 1080p display, the phone comes with USB Type-C and a faster-than-iPhone TouchID fingerprint scanner that according to OnePlus, can save up to five fingerprints.

Under the hood of OnePlus 2 is the Snapdragon 810 chipset, 4GB RAM and 3300mAh battery. The phone has a 13MP camera with a slow motion mode and a new solution that makes it possible to take 50MP photos.
