Ronda Rousey broke her silence on the extent of damage that she suffered in the defeat to Holly Holm, as UFC president Dana White is egging to announce a rematch between the two fighters.
In an interview with ESPN W magazine, Ronda Rousey confessed that she's still sad about the loss to Holly Holm.
She recounted that on the first round when she was rocked hard, a few of her teeth came loose.
"It might be three to six months before I can eat an apple, let alone take an impact," Ronda Rousey said of the rehab.
"It was like a dumbed-down dreamy version of yourself making decisions," she added. "I was just trying to shake myself out of it. I kept saying to myself, 'You're OK, keep fighting. You're OK, keep fighting.'"
"I just feel so embarrassed. How I fought after that is such an embarrassing representation of myself. I wasn't even f***ing there."
After her first defeat to Holly Holm, the drive home was very silent.
"I kind of just slept a lot and ate fast food," she said. "Then I just slept and pooped in the woods. I used a whole roll of toilet paper in one day. Physically, my body was refusing its own failures. It was, like, sick of itself. Expelling itself. Like all the skin came off my face. My whole body flushed it out."
Of course, Ronda Rousey know that she wouldn't fully heal after the defeat to Holly Holm, not until she avenges herself in the rematch.
"The rematch makes a lot of sense," Dana White said. "I think the rematch is what people would want to see."
Although it may take some time for Ronda Rousey to rehab, she has a mantra, "I need to come back. I need to beat this chick. Who knows if I'm going to pop my teeth out or break my jaw or rip my lip open. I have to f***ing do it."
