"Love & Hip Hop New York" star Erica Mena and Bow Wow not only split, but their breakup turned downright nasty on social media.
Speaking to Global Grind, Erica Mena dished the reason for her split with Bow Wow.
In fact, the former "Love & Hip Hop New York" star accused the "CSI: Cyber" actor of being abusive in the relationship.
"I'm not going to sit there and let my child see me be mistreated by a man," she claimed.
"I could have gone public about our breakup a month ago," Erica Mena said. "He does this to make headlines. Just leave me alone, I moved on; why are you still in your feelings? He's literally posting about Joie to get on my nerves and it's not working. He's posting it to f**k with her head and to try to get a reaction out of me. Listen, I walked away silently. He's an abuser."
Erica Mena was referring to the social media post of Bow Wow with his baby mama, Joie Chavis, in the house where the former reality star was living until a month ago when she moved out.
"I never wanted [his] business out there. I feel like people have seen me on reality TV having to fight, but at this point in my life, I deserve peace," she added of the split. "I'm in a different place now. When it comes to Shad, this is the man I at one point really considered marrying. He is the one I decided to say yes to, but once the mask came off, I realized I had made a bad choice."
Bow Wow, however, have not really commented on the split from Erica Mena although he has been taking aim on his social media posts.
Erica Mena, meanwhile, has been taking potshots at Bow Wow on her Twitter account with a few choice words following their split.
On Dec. 9, she wrote, "I've witness some pretty talented people live a lie for social media. They rather try keeping up than to do good by people who love them."
Then she added, "You shouldn't have to be a victim of anyone's power struggles, stubbornness or egotism."
