While breastfeeding her newborn son Saint, reality star Kim Kardashian decided to donate a thousand pairs of shoes to an inspiring girl she found on a TV special.
According to a report by People Magazine, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star took to Twitter to announce that she and her husband Kanye West intend to donate a thousand pairs of shoes to this teenaged girl who tried to gather the same number of shoes to donate to a charity called Soles for Souls.
"I'm up breastfeeding & watching this show Dish Nation," the reality star tweeted Thursday morning, according to the magazine. "I heard the cutest story of a girl who is trying to find 1000 pairs of shoes to donate to this charity Soles For Souls! They helped her during Hurricane Katrina."
After revealing that they will donate the thousand pairs of shoes to the charity, Kim Kardashian also asked the help of her Twitter followers to identify the teen that is behind the campaign.
"Kanye and I would love to donate those 1000 shoes to Soles for Sould," she tweeted. "I've been looking online to find this little girl so we can let her know the shoes are on their way... but I can't seem to find her."
A report by The Sun, however, has revealed that that the girl that inspired Kim Kardashian is 17-year-old Amelia Flores from Kansas City who works with the organization that helps those who are in need, especially those that are affected by tragic natural disasters.
"My heart has been racing since I woke up this morning," Flores, whose extended family received help from Soles for Souls after the Hurricane Katrina in 2005, told The Sun.
"Kim Kardashian is helping me personally- this is insane," she added.
Unable to believe that Kim Kardashian is helping her with her project, Flores also took to Twitter Thursday morning and posted, "I really hope Kim K. is talking abt me."
Her tweet was responded by Dish Nation with a confirmation tweet that read, "SHE IS!"
Soles for Souls, is said to be attempting to arrange a meeting with the generous reality TV star and Amelia Flores, who has expanded her goal to 25,000 pairs of shoes.
