U-KISS's youngest member Dongho is leaving the group.
According to their company NH Media, the youngest member has lost the will to pursue a celebrity life, and that the tedious performances and practices that come with being an idol are burdensome for his physical condition.
Last October 2012, the idol-actor was sent to the emergency room and was diagnosed with pleurisy, or the inflammation of the lungs and chest which makes it difficult to breathe.
In an official statement released by NH Media, representatives said that, "Dongho will not be participating in promotions starting with the next album to be released next month. He will also be postponing his activities as an actor."
"Since the beginning of this year, Dongho has been having a difficult time with the highly demanding life of a celebrity due to his weakened condition. After the discussion we had with his parents, we have come to honor their decision to give Dongho a break. More than being an idol, Dongho wants to live a peaceful and normal life."
"It was not an easy decision to make, but the rest of U-KISS have accepted this change as well."
Dongho was active in promoting the group through his individual activities, such as being cast in the movies "Villain and Widow," "Little Black Dress," "Don't Cry Mommy," and 2011 MBC drama "Royal Family".
Fans are anxious about this new change, although Dongho himself has yet to comment on this issue.
