Singer and actress Bae Suzy is often called "the nation's first love," but to one of her closest friends, she's more like "the ideal boyfriend."

In the latest episode of Everyday Is Thursday Night, hosted by Urban Zakapa member Jo Hyunah, the longtime friends reminisced about their decade-long bond over lemon soju and heartfelt memories.

Suzy, who debuted in 2010 as a member of Miss A and has since become a beloved actress and soloist, appeared as the show's ninth guest.

Jo shared that it was Suzy who first initiated their friendship, boldly approaching her years ago as a fan.

"She came up to me first and asked to hang out," Jo said, admitting she was impressed by Suzy's confidence.

Throughout the episode, Jo revealed three personal stories that made her view Suzy more like a "boyfriend," praising the singer's unwavering kindness and attentiveness.

The first example was Suzy's habit of driving Jo to and from their meet-ups — often picking her up even when they planned to meet at Suzy's house.

"I'm just impatient," Suzy said with a laugh. "I need to make sure [she] will actually come."

Jo added that Suzy would always prepare two coffees in the car without being asked, a gesture that deeply touched her.

"I loved the feeling when I entered Suzy's car and everything was prepared for me," she said. Suzy responded modestly: "That's nothing."

The second moment came on Jo's birthday, when Suzy decorated a wall with balloons, knowing her friend loved them.

Jo recalled being so moved by the surprise that she cried. Suzy downplayed the effort, saying,

"You really like balloons. I just did what you like."

Lastly, Jo described a day when she was ill and unresponsive due to sleep. Concerned, Suzy asked around to find the passcode to Jo's house.

Upon entering, she found Jo fast asleep on the couch, one house slipper on.

Suzy brought soup, cleaned up a bit, and quietly left to let her friend rest.

"She's the best cheerleader of my life," Jo said tearfully. "When I was going through my hardest times, she was... I just thought to myself, 'How would I have endured this if she wasn't there?'"

Jo praised Suzy's consistency over the years and asked, "How is that possible?"

Suzy replied simply: "Because I like you."

The moment moved Jo to tears again.

Suzy later shared a candid photo of Jo from the show on Instagram, further endearing fans to their heartfelt friendship.

"She is the unshakeable comfort," Jo said, summing up her love and appreciation for Suzy in one sentence.
