Since the hit series Dream High aired, the prominent cast members have taken diverse paths, achieving varying degrees of success in music, acting, and beyond.

From chart-topping solo careers to significant acting roles and personal challenges, here's an update on where the major Dream High stars stand in 2025.
1. Bae Suzy
Bae Suzy, formerly of K-pop group Miss A, made her acting debut in Dream High. She quickly gained recognition, winning the Best New Actress award at the 2012 Baeksang Arts Awards. She continued juggling her music and acting pursuits, eventually becoming a sought-after solo performer.
Despite initial criticism for her "plain" acting style, her role in the 2022 drama "Anna" showcased marked improvement, and she solidified her reputation as a versatile actress. Suzy has multiple projects in store, including "Genie, Make a Wish" and "Delusion."
2. Jang Wooyoung (2 PM)
Jang Wooyoung from 2 PM did not take on significant roles in other dramas after Dream High but found success in music. He launched a solo career in 2012 and enjoyed notable popularity in Japan. In 2018, he revealed that he had nearly quit at 2 PM due to struggles with fame.
Nevertheless, he stayed in the group out of loyalty to his bandmates. After his mandatory military service ended in 2020, Wooyoung resumed his career and also took on behind-the-scenes work at JYP Entertainment.
3. Ok Taecyeon (2 PM)
Fellow 2 PM member Ok Taecyeon balanced his time between music and acting, taking on prominent roles in dramas such as "Who Are You," "Bring It On, Ghost," and "Save Me." He won widespread praise for playing the villain in the 2021 hit show "Vincenzo."
Taecyeon left JYP Entertainment in 2018—though he remained part of 2 PM—and later revealed that the agency discouraged him from villainous roles. His decision paid off, as his villain turn significantly boosted his profile. Recent rumors about his private life have surfaced, but his agency denied marriage speculation.
4. Ham Eunjung (T-ara)
Ham Eunjung's group T-ara was at its peak when Dream High aired, but a 2012 bullying scandal involving member Hwayoung halted the group's momentum. Eunjung faced repercussions in the industry and was discharged from a drama despite having already filmed some episodes.
While T-ara resumed activities, the scandal lingered. Eunjung resumed acting in 2014, appearing in "Lovely Horribly" in 2018, and will soon lead the upcoming series "Queen's House." She continues to perform with T-ara.
5. IU
Dream High marked IU's acting debut, foreshadowing a successful career in both music and television. She followed up with leading roles in "You Are the Best" and "Bel Ami," clinching a Best New Actress award at the 2013 KBS Drama Awards.
Over the years, her popularity soared through hit shows such as "The Producers," "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo," and "Hotel Del Luna."
A consistent chart-topper with her music releases, IU recently returned to K-dramas after a six-year hiatus in "When Life Gives You Tangerines," which became an instant success. She's among Korea's most prominent stars, rumored to have a net worth of $45 million.
6. Kim Soo Hyun
Kim Soo Hyun's breakout appearance in Dream High led to mega-hit roles in "My Love from the Star," "It's Okay Not to Be Okay," and "Queen of Tears."
His bright future dimmed when allegations surfaced that he had groomed Kim Seon, dating her at a young age, and forced Sulli to film an explicit scene—claims that came to light after Kim Seon's death.
The mounting accusations have led to public backlash, with sponsors cutting ties and upcoming projects halted or canceled.
Once considered one of Korea's most beloved celebrities, Kim Soo Hyun now faces a career crisis that many observers view as insurmountable.
