Is Jennifer Aniston happy about the report that Justin Theroux's "The Leftovers" will be cancelled?
Apparently, according to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, the former "Friends" star wasn't at all happy that Justin Theroux would prioritize "The Leftovers" over their marriage.
"Tabloids reported that there was trouble in paradise when Justin ditched Jen right after the wedding to rush back to Austin, Texas to work on the HBO show," it said. "She even reportedly demanded that Justin move the location of filming to California so he could be closer to home - but he wasn't having it. There is no doubt that Jennifer Aniston is secretly thrilled that her husband is out of work."
The rumors about "The Leftovers" being cancelled for season 4 has intensified in recent weeks after its low numbers in 18-49 adult viewers.
But in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Justin Theroux said that he would love if "The Leftovers" wouldn't be cancelled after the third season, even as the ratings for the second season leave something to be desired.
"I do, of course. I would love it to, and I think it definitely could. It's a question of whether people respond to it," he said. "I definitely think that there's other areas to explore. I don't know what they are - it's up to Damon and Tom."
He continued, "But I think they're very smart about only wanting to continue anything if there's a reason for it. It's about knowing what's the best last stroke to leave on the painting. When do you want have it stand alone, just being itself? And that's their decision to make."
In the season 3 renewal of "The Leftovers," showrunner Damon Lindelof told TVLine, that they are aiming to give a proper ending to the HBO series.
"The most exciting thing for us as storytellers would be to bring The Leftovers to a definitive end. And by 'definitive,' we mean 'wildly ambiguous but hopefully mega-emotional,' as all things related to this show are destined to be," he said.
