Drake probably feels like a two-time winner right now after his Meek Mill diss, "Back to Back," has received a nomination from Grammy Awards for Best Rap Performance.
And Meek Mill might feel a little bit depressed right now as he found himself hogging the news headlines for the wrong reasons.
In the wake of the reports that he faked his drug urine test, and the testimony of girlfriend Nicki Minaj on his drug probation hearing, the rapper is now again becoming the butt of jokes because Drake's "Back to Back" was nominated for the Grammys.
"The ridicule hasn't quite let up for Mill just yet. Fans had another dig at Mill, thanking him for taking losses in his epic feud against Drake all year," said Music Times.
Adding insult to injury, Meek Mill's girlfriend Nicki Minaj's "Truffle Butter" (which is actually a collaboration with Drake and Lil Wayne) was also nominated for the same category.
They will slug it out with J. Cole for "Apparently," Kendrick Lamar for "Alright" and Fetty Wap's "Trap Queen."
The Meek Mill and Drake feud started when Nicki Minaj's rumored fiancé accused the Canadian rapper of not writing his own songs. He wrote, "Stop comparing drake to me too.... He don't write his own raps! That's why he ain't tweet my album because we found out!"
A day later, he tweeted, "I pray the real live forever and all the fake get exposed!"
On July 25, Drake took his feud with Meek Mill to a whole new level by dropping "Charged Up," to which Meek Mill replied that the track was "baby lotion soft."
In his track, "Back-to-Back" released on July 29, Drake dissed Meek Mill by hinting that he's piggybacking on Nicki Minaj's career as he taunted him, "You love her, then you gotta give the world to her/Is that a world tour or your girl's tour?"
