The Los Angeles Lakers are near the bottom of the cellar of the NBA and it's not surprising that it will be involved in trade rumors this 2015.
The latest NBA trade rumors involved Los Angeles Lakers and the Milwaukee Bucks, particularly on Nick Young and Ryan Kelly for Miles Plumlee and OJ Mayo.
Although he has a reputation of being a gunner, Nick Young actually has shown flashes of defensive potential in Lakers games this season. But he is averaging a career low of 9.2 points, 0.6 assists and 1.6 rebounds this year, compared to his career averages of 12.2 points, 1.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds.
On the right team, however, Nick Young can give scoring punch off the bench and another advantage is his cheap contract with the Los Angeles Lakers which can be assumed by his new team in a case of a trade.
According to the tweet of Mike Ortiz of blog DYST Now, "Sources: The Lakers are shopping Nick Young. They're 'ready to move on from him.'"
In other NBA trade rumors 2015, the Post reported that the New York Knicks and the Detroit Pistons could benefit from working out a deal.
Marc Berman wrote that the New York Knicks have a glut of big men on its roster, but its backcourt remains much to be desired.
"The Knicks definitely will address that position this summer with their cap space when Memphis point guard Mike Conley and Sacramento's Rajon Rondo - who torched the Knicks on Thursday, falling one rebound short of a triple-double - are free agents," he wrote.
But he said that Brandon Jennings of the Detroit Pistons is available, although he's coming off an Achilles tear injury, which is always a huge red flag particularly for guards where speed is important.
