The popular Japanese drama anime series "Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma" is all set to air its second season, according to Anime News Network.
The 2016 second issue of Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine will reveal the news that the food anime series is ready for the second season. The announcement is rumored to be made to celebrate the third anniversary of the cooking competition manga series.
TIBS reported that earlier the first issue of the magazine revealed that the next copy of Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine is set to shell out some exciting details about the upcoming second season of the drama anime series. The anime has aired 24 episodes till date for the first season from May to September.
"Food War! Shokugeki no Soma" is based on the story of a boy named, Yukihira Soma who always dream of becoming a world-class chef himself and join his father's restaurant business to assist him in his work.
The storyline of the series undergoes a twist when Soma's father, Yukihira Jouichirou suddenly shuts down his own restaurant to take his business to a different continent. He asks Soma to graduate from the most elite and hard culinary school, where the graduation rate is just 10 percent, for being able to assist him in future, reported Realty Today.
The Japanese manga's 15th compiled volume was released two months ago in October 2015. The latest digitally printed ninth volume of the series was published by Viz Media in North America on Dec.1.
Crunchy Roll News reported that the 16th compiled volume of, Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma will be released next year on Jan. 4, 2016. A game based on series titled "Shokugeki no Soma: Yujo to Kizuna no Hitosara" is also on its way on the Nintendo 3DS gaming console in this month of December.
