A well-known middle-aged actor is facing shocking allegations of inappropriate behavior on set, according to comments made in a recent YouTube discussion about addiction.

On April 7, a video titled "Gambling Isn't the Only Addiction" was uploaded to the YouTube channel 채널고정해.

The discussion featured several entertainers, including Shin Jung Hwan, former professional baseball player Kang Byung Gyu, singer and former Girls' Day member Jang Hye Ri, and shaman Lim Deok Young.

Though the group's original focus was gambling, the conversation eventually widened to encompass other forms of addiction, including what Lim said was a case of compulsive sexual behavior related to a big-name actor.

"There was a very famous middle-aged actor," Lim said. "His addiction was, he would go to a corner where staff were present and touch his genitals."

The panel expressed disbelief, with Shin responding, "No way," and Jang adding, "That sounds like a real patient."

Lim insisted the behavior was real and not isolated to the entertainment industry. "It really happened. Even a prosecutor acted like that once," she said. "This is a real illness. It's an addiction to the thrill. Female staff and coworkers filed complaints, and some even tried to persuade him gently, saying things like, 'I wish you wouldn't do that.'"

Shin, who previously served an eight-month prison sentence for illegal overseas gambling, spoke candidly during the segment about how consuming his own addiction had been.

"When I came home and looked in the mirror, I was extremely skinny," he said. "That's how little I was eating and how completely I was immersed without any other thoughts. It felt like my energy was drained. None of the people sitting at the table were fat."

Though sexual addiction is not formally recognized in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), many mental health professionals consider it a serious behavioral condition that can have devastating personal and professional consequences.

As of Monday, no specific actor had been publicly identified in connection with the allegations, and no formal investigation had been reported.
