In his interview with fashion magazine @star1, Lee Jong Suk talked about acting, and he admitted to drawing inspiration from Joo Won and other actors in his age group.
"It's inspiring to watch actors of the same generation as I am," said Lee Jong Suk. "Sometimes, I wonder how they can express themselves so well when we've all lived around the same time and have the same amount of experience."
"On the other hand, even though we've have a lot in common, our acting methods are different."
In particular, he mentioned the "Good Doctor" star Joo Won.
"I was impressed by Joo Won's acting after watching him in "Good Doctor". I thought to myself, 'How did he conceptualize Shi On's way of acting?' and 'How would I have done that if it were me?' It was very creative."
But rather than jealous and competitive, Lee Jong Suk praised those who act better than him.
"If there's a colleague who's better than me at something, I acknowledge it. More than thinking that I am better than that person, I recognize the talent that they have."
Lee Jong Suk is currently promoting his new movie "No Breathing" where he portrays the character Woo Sang, a competitive national swimmer.
The full interview will be released in the magazine's November issue.
