Song Ji Hyo joined the cast of the Chinese version of "We Got Married," where she will appear with Taiwanese actor, Chen Bolin.
On January 19, the Korean outlet YTN confirmed the casting of the virtual couple on the Chinese adaptation of the variety show.
According to the report, the 34-year-old actress and "Running Man" star will begin shooting footage for the program in Seoul, next week.The series will air post-production and is slated to premiere in April 2016.
Song is the latest Hallyu star to appear on the remake of the MBC scripted relationship show, following the successful first season run, which paired Super Junior's Choi Siwon with model Liu Wen.
In 2015, she confirmed the conclusion of her management relationship with C-JeS Entertainment, following her role in the lackluster tvN series, "Ex-Girlfriend Club."
Song recently appeared in the music video for "Lonely Night," a solo release from her "Running Man" co-star, Gary.
She continues to appear on the SBS program with Gary, as part of the beloved variety duo known as the "Monday Couple."
While she has delivered notable dramatic roles, her involvement with "Running Man" continues to generate success in mainland China, where the show recently filmed a special with guest star and former fixed cast member, Song Joong Ki.
Chen Bolin gained pan-Asian success through his portrayal of Li Da Ren in the 2011 Taiwanese drama, "In Time With You," opposite Ariel Lin.
The 32-year-old actor is also recognized by audiences for his role in the 2014 mainland Chinese adaptation of "Miss Granny," "20 Once Again," which also starred former EXO member, Luhan.
In 2015, Chen signed on with BM+ Entertainment, the agency which represents Ha Jin Won, his co-star in the movie, "Risking Love for Life."
