An expert has claimed that the sparkler Kanye West slipped into Kim Kardashian’s finger could have cost him an astounding $8M.

Kanye did not just replace Kim’s second husband, Kris Humphries, but the rapper also replaced his rock. Kanye gave him Kim an engagement ring designed by Lorraine Schwartz. This is the same jeweler who created Kim’s 20-carat big, diamond ring that slashed Kris NBA fees by roughly $2M.

Only this time, Kim’s new bling costs four times more expensive than Kris’s engagement ring, David Letterman jokingly described as a “door knob.” According to New York Daily News, an expert estimated the cost of the ring between $7 million to $8 million.

The expert even commended Kanye for choosing the rock described as “perfect D flawless cushion cut diamond. The fact that Kanye helped design the ring with known jeweler, Lorraine Scwarz sure is a big plus for Kanye.

“This is exceptionally rare. Very few places in the world have diamonds such as that,” said Forevermark Diamond expert Adelaide Polk-Bauman, according to the New York Daily News.

Kanye, 36 proposed to Kim, 33 on the eve of her birthday, Monday evening, Oct. 21. The rapper rented the whole baseball stadium at San Francisco, AT & T Park and hired a 50-piece orchestra to play "Young and Beautiful" by Lana Del Rey and "Knock You Down" by Keri Hilson (and Ne-Yo, and himself). And with the stadium’s Jumbotron, Kanye flashed his request from Kim to “'PLEEESE MARRY MEEE!!!'

With all the music, family and friends who came to witness Kanye’s romantic proposal, can Kim not say Yes? Of course she did.

This is going to be Kim’s third marriage while Kanye’s first. The newly engaged couple started out as friends but Kim has been Kanye’s long time crush. The reality star is the baby mama of his first child, North West and asking her to marry him has been rumored since Baby North was born in June 2013.
