Lee Seo Jin wonders if viewers will be surprised by his transformation in the upcoming drama "Marriage Contract," also known as "Wife for 100 Days."

The actor recently spoke to the Korean media outlet Sports Donga about his character.

That character Han Ji Hoon is a rich player but he's also a smart businessman, a former musician who now owns a restaurant.

"Han Ji Hoon may seem cool and self-centered on the outside," said Lee. "But he's fond of his mother and is secretly tender-hearted."

Lee said that viewers have become used to seeing him appear on variety shows and his playboy bachelor character may take some getting used to. He felt the need to warn viewers that Han Hi Joon is not the real Lee Seo Jin.

"I am very much myself when I appear on variety shows," he said. I hope viewers can tell the difference between Han Hi Joon versus Lee Seo Jin while watching 'Marriage Contract.'"

In the drama Uee plays Kang Hye Soo, a woman whose husband dies and leaves her to raise their child alone. When she discovers that she has terminal brain cancer, she agrees to a contract marriage so her daughter can be taken care of.

Since Han Ji Hoon is described as a man who has no intention of settling down it should be interesting to see what convinces him to sign the contract. And also interesting to see what convinces Uee's character to leave her child with an unrepentent playboy.

Together and by facing multiple hardships, the characters will learn the true meaning of love.

It promises to be the kind of melodrama that requires multiple tissues.

"Wife For 100 Days" will be Lee Seo Jin's first drama in two years. His last drama appearance was in "Wonderful Days" in 2014. In 2015 he appeared on three variety shows, "Running Man," "Three Meals A Day" and "Grandpas Over Flowers."

Lee has a long history of friendship with Kim Ji Min, the producer for "Marriage Contract."

"I feel very comfortable working with him and am enjoying myself," said Lee.

The first episode of "Marriage Contract" airs on March 5 and the drama will run for 20 episodes.
