In the melodrama "Remember," Jung Hye Sung plays a straight arrow prosecutor who also happens to be the sister of the drama's villain, played by Nam Goong Min. Her character Nam Yeo Kyung is the least evil member of her family as everyone else is guilty of at least one murder, whether they personally committed it or merely ordered it.
"Remember" is close to its final episodes and Jung already has her next role lined up. Next she will star in her first film. That film is a crime thriller titled "Broker" and it's directed by Kim Hong Sun, who previously directed The Con Artists" and "Traffickers."
In "Broker," Jung will play the daughter of Chun Ho Jin's character, Choi Geun So. As the drama begins with the murder of the daughter of a high ranking official, Jung's character is likely the woman whose murder sets the plot in motion.
The film also stars "D-Day's" Kim Young Kwang as star lawyer Choi Sang Min. "Cheese in the Trap's" Lee Sung Kyung plays Cha Yeong Hee an idealistic public defender. Choi Sang Min and Cha Yeong Hee will work together to solve the case. Im Joo Wan will play Han Sung Ho, a broadcast news producer who is also investigating the case. Im, last seen in "Oh My Ghostess," previously starred in the director's film "Con Artists." Actors Song Jong Ho, Go Chang Suk and Jo Dal Hwan also appear in "Broker."
While "Broker" may be Jung Hye Sung's first film, she has appeared in a few dramas, including "Potato Star 2013QR3," "Special Affairs Team TEN - Season 2," "Pride and Prejudice," "Blood" and "Oh My Venus." In "Oh My Venus" she played a popular star who is famous for her commercial appearances and who has an unrequited crush on Sung Hoon's character.
"Broker" began filming on February 4 and will be released later in 2016.
