The Jonas Brothers first cancelled their scheduled tour, then they deleted their official twitter account. To put split rumors to rest, the Jonas Brothers have finally spoken out and announced calling it quits, “for now.”
It has been barely three weeks ago when the Jonas Brothers announced cancelation of their planned tour, hinting “deep rift within the band” as the primary reason.
"There is a deep rift within the band," the brothers’ spokesman, Jesse Derris was quoted as saying by CNN in early Oct. 2013. "There was a big a disagreement over their music direction."
Now, the Jonas Brothers will sure not perform in Upper Derby, Pennsylvania on Fri, Nov. 1 as they finally decided to call it quits.
"It's over for now," Kevin Jonas was quoted as telling People magazine.
Nick talked about “forever” indicating it has not been easy for him.
"It's really hard to say 'forever,' Nick said, according to People, before adding, "We're closing a chapter, for sure."
Joe was more focused on who decided that it’s time to roll down the curtain for the Jonas Brothers.
Joe said, "It was a unanimous decision.”
Joe was referring to the agreement the brothers had in their last meeting on Oct. 3. It was almost four weeks ago when they agreed to consider about the future of the band, initiated by Nick.
"I was feeling kind of trapped," Nick said, admitting that he felt the need “to share his heart with his brothers."
The Jonas Brothers have asked their fans for patience early this week. According to Huffington Post Joe Jonas tweeted on Oct. 22: “please hold while we get our sh&^ together.”
Joe’s tweet was followed by Nick’s post the following day that said: “Bear with us.”
The Jonas Brothers have not indicated until when they will go on separate ways and if there’s a chance for their working together again as a group.
The band has released four albums including, “It's About Time,” “Jonas Brothers,” “A Little Bit Longer,” and “Lines, Vines and Trying Times.”
