Rihanna’s ex, Chris Brown has just entered rehab shortly after being released from custody and felony charges reduced to a misdemeanor.
The R& B singer, according to TMZ, agreed to seek help for anger management issues. But the singer is said to have entered the facility apparently “to blunt a possible prison sentence.”
Brown is likely to enter jail not because of the charges hurled against him by authorities when a man from Maryland accused the singer of punching him in the face when the victim tried to pose for a photograph Brown was taking with a woman and her friend.
Despite the reduced sentence read by the judge Monday, Oct. 28, Brown may still be liable to probation violation involving the 2009 assault of his ex, Rihanna.
TMZ noted that Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos brought the singer to the facility. The gossip Web site also pointed out that the Probation department will likely decide if Brown indeed violated his probation on Rihanna’s assault. Should authorities find Brown he violated probation, the singer is likely to face up to 4 years imprisonment.
