Many fans are waiting for the third season of "Sherlock", add to that the fact that BBC has not made an official announcement on when it will premier. But while we're waiting, the stars and the executive producers have shared some details about the most anticipated season yet as Rebecca Eaton, executive producer, promised that this season is better than the previous two seasons.
Cumberbatch revealed to The Graham Norton Show about some spoilers of the show: "I can't say an awful lot but he comes back, there's a reunion that doesn't go as planned, there's a wedding and there's a new bad guy."
The Reunion: Sherlock had faked his death in the last episode of Season 2 titled: "The Reichenbach Fall." In the much anticipated season premiere, Sherlock will reveal how he faked his death but this will not be a happy reunion with the main characters. Martin Freeman who plays John Watson even gave clues on how Sherlock faked his death as he spoke to Radio Times: "All the clues were on screen. It's not going to be a cheat -- everything that we saw on that final episode offers hints as to how he did it."
The Wedding: Will Watson marry Mary Morstan, played by Amanda Abbington in Sherlock" 3. Abbington has said in the past that her character will become the "third wheel" in the relationship of the dynamic duo. With Sherlock gone, will Watson and Abbington tie the know? How will this affect Watson and Sherlock's relationship?
The New Bad Guy: The new nemesis of Sherlock is Charles Augustus Magnussen. He is said to be worse than Professor Moriarty who died in the finale episode of Season 2. His character is based on the character of Charles Augustus Milverton in the book.
There's more. There's no official announcement but it looks like there will be a fourth as well as a fifth season for the TV series.
