U.S. productions approved and gave K-Pop a chance in their big and small screens. Here is the list of all movies that K-pop appeared in.
1. "The Wonder Girls" movie featuring Wonder Girls
This is the whole production just for the JYP Entertainment's girl group Wonder Girls. The casts of this movie are Yenny, Yubin, Sohee, Sun, Lim, and Park Jin Young. The movie is made to introduce the members of Wonder Girls while they get ready for their tour in the U.S. The group showed dedication, rebellion, and a little mischief throughout their career journey.
2. "Glee" featuring BIGBANG and PSY
Glee's special episode for Thanksgiving played BIGBANG's and PSY's music. And fans could not express their gratitude. The song "Gangnam Style" became the centerpiece of performances in the show.
3. "The Bachelor" featuring 2NE1
2NE1 fans were surprised at the 18th episode of "The Bachelor". "I Am The Best" of 2NE1 was used when Juan Pablo Galavis, the season's bachelor and the other contestants were doing choreography.
4. "America's Next Top Model" featuring BTOB, Jay Park, and 2NE1
"America's Next Top Model" is a U.S. TV show starred by our favorite K-Pop artists. Jay Park appeared on the show to explain the challenges faced by models. The models learned the choreography of "Beep Beep" from BTOB. The models got the chance to meet 2NE1 on the backstage.
5. "Family Guy" featuring SISTAR, HyunA, and more
This animated sitcom presented a Korea-centered episode. SISTAR's "Touch My Body" was shown twice and HyunA's "Bubble Pop" was turned into a parody on the show. There was also a scene about K-pop easter eggs hinting at KARA, U-KISS, f(x), Crayon Pop, and EXO.
6. "Justice League" featuring BLACKPINK
Even our superheroes knew about BLACKPINK. BLACKPINK's "As If It's Your Last" appeared on Flash's computer screen while he was talking to Batman. Ezra Miller, the actor who plays the Flash is an avid fan of BLACKPINK.
7. "NCIS: New Orleans" featuring NCT Dream
This scene really surprised the viewers wherein a student was asked by 2 special agents who are the best member of the NCT Dream. The student said that it was Mark. Renjun, Jeno, Mark, and Chenle are the names spoken by the show's casts.
8. "The Simpsons" featuring BTS
An episode of "The Simpsons" that was set in Korea gave a short exposure to BTS and ARMY. The Simpsons family saw 2 signs. The 1st one says "BTS here today!" while a second sign says, "Recruitment center for BTS ARMY."
9. "We Bare Bears" featuring MONSTA X
Do you know that Panda is a certified fan of MONSTA X? In one episode Grizz and Ice Bear worked together to surprise Panda by meeting his favorite K-Pop group for his birthday. MONSTA X appeared in the show as their animated selves.
