The cast has been confirmed that they took part in their first script reading on the 21st of August, last month.
It's also been revealed that the movie, "Singer" which is a pansori music film, will be focusing on the story depicting the life and experiences of the people and victims during the Japanese slavery.
The upcoming new film is a creation of director Jo Jung-Rae, a movie who will feature the suffering and painful pasts especially will be focusing on the people who are in the low-class status, who expresses their lives through writing songs and singing during the Joseon Dynasty.
Also, the film director, Jo Jung Rae shared that the production of the film started when he met and started empathizing with the lives of the comfort women and grandmother he met on a sharing home where they told their pains during those times.
It has also been revealed that to be able to produce a pansori music film, the production team have to carefully work on it for three years. In that sense, the music director who also directed the "World Music Group Resonance", Park Seung Won participated also on the making of the film who has been said to produce 80 percent of the music film. The Director Jo Jung Rae also shared that the aim of the production of this movie is to restore a family as well as humanity using pansori as the instrument. In able to achieve this goal, the director personally chose Lee Bong Geun who is a professional Korean Classical Musician, to take part in playing the main role of showing the implementation of authentic pansori. Lee Bong Geun has already showcased their talent by making an appearance for "The Immortal Masterpiece" which is a Korean music show, being in the limelight for using the pansori.
Shinhwa's Kim Dong Wan will also be joining the cast, Lee Yu ri, which showed her great acting skills on her Tv shows and dramas and many more who have a great reputation and established a career as an actor and actress.
The film, "Singer" was said to be having its premiere on the first half in 2020.
