Selena Gomez revealed to Teen Vogue about her love life and how she was "broken."
For the most part of 2013, the Come and Get It singer has been single and she admitted that she's in no rush to find her next boyfriend.
After her high-profile relationship with Justin Bieber and their breakup earlier this year, she revealed she was a bit "broken." She is the cover of the December 2013/January 2014 issue of Teen Vouge.
"You fall in love and it completely consumes you," Gomez told Teen Vogue. "So a part of you is broken when that's gone. And part of you wants to have that rebellious feeling where you're just like, forget it -- I can do anything I want."
However, the former Disney star said that even though she's trying to be a rule-breaker, in her heart, she's a good girl. "I've tried it, and I've never been that girl," Gomez added. "I'm always going to be the girl you want to take home to your parents, not for the night."
The "Spring Breakers" actress also said that she's open to meet new people and explore situations in order to learn more about the world. "The older I've gotten, the more I've learned that I have to open myself up to all opportunities. Maybe I'll get burned and not meet the right people, but I won't know until I do it," she explained.
Speaking of a great opportunity, she has been chosen to be the halftime performer at an American football game between the Oakland Raiders and Dallas Cowboys. Her performance will launch "The Salvation Army's 123rd Red Kettle Campaign" in order to help the poor during the holiday season, Fox News reported.
'Dallas is my hometown, and to be invited to perform on behalf of The Salvation Army is such a great honor,' Selena said on Sunday, Nov. 3, in a statement. "Giving back is so important, and I am looking forward to kicking off the iconic Red Kettle Campaign and getting those bells ringing across the nation to help families and children in need."
The Cowboys and The Salvation Army have been partners for the fundraiser on Thanksgiving Day since 1997. Since then they have raised more than $1.75 billion in order to provide meals, shelter, clothes and other goods for the poor.
