"Where Your Eyes Linger," the first-ever Korean BL (boys love) drama, will be co-produced by W Story and Energedic Company.

The upcoming web drama will break the stigma against Korea's LGBT individuals, where two males, to be played by Han Gi Chan as Taeju and Jang Eui Soo as Kook, develop feelings of love and engage in a romantic relationship.

On April 20, Fantagio released a statement that the 21-year-old actor Han Gi Chan will debut as an actor in the upcoming web drama "Where Your Eyes Linger." Its literal translation is "The Place Where Your Gaze Is."

Before his acting debut, he was a Korean pop trainee under Fantagio, an entertainment company where he then became a trainee contestant of the survival reality TV show "Produce X 101," where he ranked 57th.

The 30-year-old brown-eyed actor Jang Eui Soo has been seen in several dramas, namely "Memorist" (2020), "Psychometric" (2019), "Bad Papa" (2018), and "Gentleman's Dignity" ( 2012). He also appeared in two 2015 movies, "The Beauty Inside" and "Northern Limit Line."

Choi Gyu Ri will play the female supporting role. She starred in the 2019 movie "One Punch." Before appearing in the film, she was seen in the music videos, such as in BTOB's "Dear Bride" and Super Junior's "Magic." She also had a guest role in the 2016 drama "Go Ho's Starry Night," where she played a model in Episode 6.

Even before "Where Your Eyes Linger" was released, it has been gaining a lot of attention. While some South Korean dramas like "Reply 1997" and "Reply 1994" hinted gay characters, the new web series will solely focus on the male-male romance.

Han Tae Joo's character will be the only heir to a chaebol, part of a royal family. Kang Gook's role, on the other hand, will always be by his side as his bodyguard also his long time friend.

"Where Your Eyes Linger" will illustrate a heart-pounding romance story between two 18-year-old males. A transfer student from Thailand, Hyemi (Choi Gyu Ri), is going to create tension between the two males. She will be an extroverted and energetic student. Also a supporting character, Pil Hyun, to be played by Jeon Jae Young, played a role in the web drama, "Lovers in the Palace." In addition, the drama received the grand prize at the 2nd Seoul Story Drama Screenplay Competition.

Tae Joo will keep on getting Pil Hyun's girlfriends, but these two will end up being friends. Tae Joo and Pil Hyun's friendship confused Gook and he would view him as a competition.

Meanwhile, all episodes of "Where Your Eyes Linger" will be released on May 22 and will be available in Korea and Japan primarily.

Hwang Da Seul will be the director of "Where Your Eyes Linger." He studied at the Korea National University of Arts, majoring in film. He also directed the web drama "Love As You Taste," a short web drama about love and food. And lastly, his short film "Spring in Summer" won an award in the 2018 Catholic Film Festival.

A director's cut, theater version, will be released in cinemas in June. In the meantime, the web drama will have eight episodes and 10 minutes long each.
