"It's Okay To Not Be Okay" tackles mental issues, those who suffer from it, and how they cope with their paints. Starring Kim Soo Hyun (Moon Kang Tae), he is is a health worker at a psychiatric ward. His older brother Sang Tae (Oh Jung Se) is a talented illustrator and has Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Later on, Kang Tae crosses path with Go Moon Young (Seo Ye Ji), a famous author for children's books and has an anti-personality disorder. Together, they help each other heal from their emotional wounds without even knowing it.

Meanwhile, Nam Joo Ri (Park Gyu Young), also a health worker at the same hospital with Kang Tae, often gets herself into the picture. She's been in love with Kang Tae for a very long time but never had the guts to tell him. She is also an old elementary classmate of Moon Young and they both seem to have a hidden, unpleasant past, which will be revealed in the next episodes of the drama.

In the 5th episode, as a matter of fact, the two women had a physical fight that it would've led to a huge scuffle if not because of Kang Tae.

In one recent episode, she voted to fire Moon Young from the hospital when the doctor of the hospital asked her. This leaves us to thinking...is Nam Joo Ri just feigning kindness and innocence?

In every story, may it be a romantic, comedic, thrilling, or mysterious, there will always be an antagonist. A person or a group of people who oppose the protagonist. In "It's Okay To Not Be Okay," the antagonist is not revealed yet except what Kang Tae and Sang Tae call as a "Butterfly."

The drama is currently on its 6th episode, and it has not given us the full circle history of the characters.

However, it has showed short flashbacks of Moon Young and Joo Ri when they were still young, and they seem to not get along very well. It makes us throw in some questions about their childhood past. Does Joo Ri have a big role in the traumas Moon Young has experienced? Does she have a part in the death of Moon Young's mother?

In the earlier episodes, Joo Ri seems like a very kind and nice person, who is dedicated to taking care of her patients. She is very sweet when it comes to Kang Tae and his brother, but is she hiding behind a mask?
