If you have watched "Hi Bye Mama," she made you cry as her only wish was to see her daughter after death. Kim Mi Kyung is best known for her supporting roles, and the number 1 "Eommoni" means mother in K-drama.

Her transition from being a serious and strict mother, Eun Sook to Kim Tae Hee in her last role. She made us teary-eyed after she devoted every day to pray and wish to see her daughter after her death. Because she loved her dearly, she wanted to bid farewell to Kim Tae Hee before she vanishes on earth. The heavens heard her prayers, Kim Tae Hee, from a wandering ghost, became human once again.

Kim Mi Kyung's role is not based on the same genre, and each year her characters made a dramatic shift between roles.

She has paired and co-starred with famous Korean actors and actresses in drama series and films. For the record, since she started in 1993 acting onscreen up to the present she appeared in more than 75+ drama series. In 2013 alone she took 7 k-drama acting projects on that year.

Her first appearance in the film "One Spring Day" 2001, the actress soon featured in dozens of films. She was nominated in the latest Baeksang Awards for Best Supporting Role in the film "Kim Ji-young: Born 1982". Aside from the small screen, she made more than 15+ Korean films. A talented actress, Kim Mi Kyung is one of those actresses willing to take on variety of roles.

Though she won't be portrayed in a very flattering light, her past characters make her a villain support role or antagonist mother and often somewhat dowdy. Kim Mi Kyung's character in "The Master's Sun" is her first time on screen that she wore flattering makeup and stylish clothes.A role of being pregnant at the age of 50.

Being a flexible and versatile actress and willing to take on challenging roles, she seems to be a director's favorite and always has work. This year, she portrayed a mother role in the hit drama series "It's Okay To Not Be Okay." She always comes around to support and comfort lead actor Kim Soo Hyun. Although she is a mother of lead actress Park Kyu Young, she takes care of the young adults to understand the conflict of life.

Kim Soo Hyun's sad experience and being alone in taking care of his disabled brother. Kim Mi Kyung showers him with love and words of encouragement. The drama is not yet finished, and she is unto another series JTBC's "Was It Love?". She is in character as a supportive mother and grandmother to actress Song Ji Hyo. Kim Mi Kyung takes care of her only daughter and her child in their struggle to live a comforting life.

Her eyes and face are always recognizable, and her characters are always true to themselves. Kim Mi Kyung has the social standing and seniority to demand roles and casting her, for she is indeed a great actress. Whatever she plays next, it will be interesting to see what kind of character it will be.
