Malaysian singer-actress Bella Astillah and politician Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman invited the spotlight again with their rumored relationship after a TikTok video showing the latter swimming across the sea for her went viral.

Rumors about their relationship started to circulate after the two filmed a dance challenge together in January, following Bella's second divorce from actor Aliff Aziz. Bella claimed Aziz Chad had heated with numerous women, including her very own sister.

Syed Saddiq shared a TikTok video in which he swam through the rain to reach Bella, with the backdrop of "Sumpah Dan Cinta Matiku" by the Indonesian group Nidji.
The video's caption seems to allude to Calum Scott's hit love song, "You Are The Reason," which is about doing anything for love. The clip has since gone viral, with more than 6.5 million views and 517,000 likes in just two days.

Speculation about their relationship further fermented when Syed Saddiq's mother seemingly confirmed it during a TikTok live session, which has since gone viral. She described her son's gesture as similar to the "love story of Romeo and Juliet."
She also mentioned that her son never used to try that hard for others.
"Look at his behaviour of being able to swim from one corner to another, even with his mother he never did that, never swam, never climbed a mountain or anything," she said, as quoted by New Straits Times.
While Bella and Syed Saddiq have not directly confirmed their relationship status, their obvious chemistry often leads to speculation.
But as the two hold court in their private lives, fans have been eager for an update on their relationship.
