Approaching JTBC romance drama "Chances of Going From Friends to Lovers" drops snippets of the finalized characters that viewers will definitely love!
The upcoming series will follow a story of two high school students who are very good friends for the longest time. As they both grow, they fall into a one-sided love with each other. The story features that typical story that we all love to watch where the girl keeps her feelings for a guy for quite some time, and the guy only realizes his true feelings for the girl after a while.
The romantic story carries the question: what if their long-awaited love comes and turns their friendship into something they never knew they needed?
Ong Seung Wu will portray the role of Lee Soo, an attractive man who is considered an eye-candy wherever he goes. He has a passion for photography and is known to be "The King of Self-Love."
Shin Ye Eun will be portraying Kyung Woo Yeon, talented in calligraphy, and is a person who will get fixated in everything she puts her mind to. She has been in love with her long-time friend, Lee Soo, which she kept within herself. When Kyung Woo Yeon's stars align, something happens that turns her one-sided love into something more.
Kim Dong Jun will be playing the character On Jun Su, who is every girl's dream guy. He is kind, attractive, and rich. He excels at almost every department. He then enters Kyung Woo Yeon's life and does everything in his will to win her heart.
Jin Sang Hyuk will be portrayed by Block B's P.O., who runs a bar called Tonight. He is a man full of glee despite what other people tell him. He seems silly at times but is loyal and warm-hearted to his friends.
Ahn Eun Jin will take on the role of Kim Young Hee, a blunt woman who will always hurt her friends with the truth than comfort them with a lie. She carries the burden of the troubles of life and wants nothing but to live an ordinary life. Her long-time boyfriend, Shin Hyun Jae, will be portrayed by actor Choi Chan Ho. He works as an ethics teacher, and his life revolves mainly on his girlfriend.
Kyung Woo Yeon's best friend, Han Ji Joo, will be portrayed by actress Baek Soo Min, a highly intelligent woman who works as a prosecutor. She can basically solve any given problem she faces except one thing: love. She has a hard time finding her one true love, so she spends most of her time drinking at the Tonight bar.
The production team shared that they carefully picked actors that can cohesively produce a synergy that will give life to each character that they will portray. The drama will definitely be filled with that youthful spirit that each of the characters will bring.
The romance will include Producing Director Choi Sung Beom, known for his work "My ID is Gangnam Beauty" (2018). Rookie screenwriter Jo Seung Hee will accompany him.
"Chances of Going From Friends to Lovers" will be premiering in September.
