'Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born' "is based on a popular webcomic of the same name, and it follows the life of Jeongnyeon, a trainee at a local theatre company called Maeran Gukgeuk-dan, set in the 1950s post-Korean War. She achieves her dream of becoming one of South Korea's best female classical opera singers," 'Disney Plus' stated in its official synopsis.
The period musical premieres on October 12 at 9:20 PM KST on tvN and airs every Saturday and Sunday. The global audience can stream the series on Disney Plus.
