SBS's "Backstreet Rookie" draws near to set its finale as it concludes on August 8. Lead stars Ji Chang Wook and Kim Yoo Jung have shared their thoughts about their experience.
In the drama, the dashing actor is convenience store owner Choi Dae Hyun, and as always, he showed the viewers his versatility. Using his comical acting and heartwarming moments gives more fun to watch each episode.
Ji Chang Wook shared, "I enjoyed and had much fun filming "Backstreet Rookie" for the past four months. On the last day of filming, I felt it was really bittersweet. I am grateful to everyone who has enjoyed and supported our drama. Please watch and enjoy till the end episode."
Kim Yoo Jung as Jung Saet Byul is the energetic store manager and hardworking sister. She impressed everyone with her prowess as an actress with her immersed emotions. She said, "During the final scenes of filming, everyone was on the set all day, and I don't think it really hit me that it was over. Each moment, from day one, I appeared at the convenience store until Ji Chang Wook, and I continued bickering."
She added, "Jung Saet Byul's action and funny scenes are unforgettable. I am very grateful and want to express how I appreciate the cast, crew, and director who worked with me. Most of all, I want to thank our viewers who support us all the way."
The last two episodes showed Dae Hyun and Saet Byul getting closer. And finally, they have come to realize and express their true feelings for each other.
Viewers get excited and in suspense as Dae Hyun's ex-girlfriend is trying to get in between the two of them. Dae Hyun's new job and maintaining the store under his wings is a challenge, but Saet Byul is ready to support him the way she did since the beginning of their partnership.
The cast showed their best smiles on their last day of filming. In the recent stills from the production team, Ji Chang Wook and Kim Yoo Jung laughed while watching and monitoring their scenes. With their full energy, LABOUM's Solbin, Seo Ye Hwa Eum Moon Suk showcase their warm chemistry. Everyone brought smiles throughout the filming, adding to the bright atmosphere on set.
However, according to Nielsen Korea, the broadcast yesterday, August 7, scored average nationwide ratings of 5.2 percent and 6.9 percent for its two parts, a decline from the drama's episode last week.
Though it's quite sweet, looking at Ji Chang Wook's expressive smile and Kim Yoo Jung gazing at him, showing their more romantic moments, can we all expect a meaningful kiss from this lovely couple?
