Hwang Jung Min Repotedly Rushed to The Hospital + Agency Confirms

Reports were released that South Korean actor Hwang Jung Min was rushed to the emergency room to receive treatments! On October 8th, a source declared that the actor was seen at an emergency room in one of the hospitals in Seoul.

According to reports the actor needed to visit the hospital due to his poor health condition and had an IV injection from the hospital. Following the repot, SEM Company which is Hwang Jung Min's agency released their statement confirming the news. They stated that the reports are true that Hwang Jung Min visited the hospital and was given an IV injection. Fortunately, he has been released and returned to his home to rest and recuperate. This will not affect his filming schedule at all.

South Korean actor Hwang Jung Min was born on September 1, 1970. He is known as one of the highest earning actors in South Korea. He is well recognized for starring in several box office hits such as Ode to My Father (2014), Veteran (2015), The Himalayas (2015), A Violent Prosecutor (2015) and The Wailing (2016). The actor started his career in the entertainment industry through musical theatre and made his acting debut in in Line 1 in 1995.

Hwang Jung Min has established his career on stage however, he experienced some struggles transitioning to film. He had a hard time impressing his viewers with some people saying that he didn't have the right visuals for the film. He felt frustrated and even considered giving up his dream but he held on to his passion for acting. Eventually he acquired his breakthrough when he was cast in Waikiki Brothers, a 2001 film that became a big hit in Korea. He portrayed the character of Kang Soo a hopeless drummer in the said film. Because of his amazing performance in Waikiki Brothers, a lot of people were impressed and he was able to earn plenty of favorable reviews, with director Yim Soon-rye calling him "an uncut gemstone."

Following the success of the said film, Hwang Jung Min went on to star in prominent roles in Road Movie, A Good Lawyer's Wife, Heaven's Soldiers and A Bittersweet Life. Fast forward to the year 2016, Hwang Jung Min was cast in a crime comedy film alongside Kang Dong Won titled "A Violent Prosecutor" which became the second highest-grossing film of the year! After "A Violent Prosecutor", he then starred in Na Hong Jin's critically acclaimed horror The Wailing, and and noir film Asura: The City of Madness, which premiered at the 41st Toronto Film Festival. For his another amazing performance Hwang Jung Min was awarded as crowned "Actor of the Year" for 2016 in the Gallup Korea poll for his acclaimed roles in diverse genres.

Hwang Jung Min tied the knot to the well known musical theatre actress Kim Mi-hye on September 6, 2004. The couple is blessed with a son named Hwang Sae Hyun.

Meanwhile, Hwang Jung min has just recently finished his filming for his movie 'Negotiation,' in which he will star alongside Hallyu actor Hyun Bin. He is currently filming his upcoming JTBC drama 'Hush' with Girls' Generation's Yoona.
