Singer and Actress Krystal Jung Decides to Leave Her Longtime Agency SM Entertainment

Singer and Actress Krystal Jung have decided to separate from the agency who handled her for a long time and she joins a new agency.

Just today, October 12, H& Entertainment agency declared that Krystal has signed an exclusive contract with them after the her contract with her longtime agency SM Entertainment expired last August.

Hong Min Ki, the CEO of H& Entertainment issued a statement stating that the company is pleased and delighted to start a brand new journey with famous star Jung Soo Jung, famously known as Krystal Jung as she takes a leap towards change and make a fresh and new start. The CEO added that the agency will do their best to support Jung Soo Jung who was able to gain popularity worldwide after her debut as a singer and has since firmly established her place as an actress. Through the agency's support, she can furthermore showcase acting with even more depth and take on an abundant array of activities.

H& Entertainment is known to be the home of numerous famous actors in the industry such as Jung Ryeo Won, Son Dam Bi, Kwak Dong Yeon, Jung In Sun, In Gyo Jin, So Yi Hyun, and many more.

South Korean singer and actress Chrystal Soo Jung, famously known by her stage name Krystal or Krystal Jung, was born on October 24, 1994. She started her career in the entertainment industry way back in 2009 as a South Korean girl group f(x). Aside from being a member of a K-pop girl group, the celebrity has also participated in various television dramas showcasing her acting skills in shows like The Heirs (2013), My Lovely Girl (2014), Prison Playbook (2017), The Bride of Habaek (2017), and Player (2018).

Kyrstal Jung was born as Chrystal Soo Jung in San Francisco, California, where her family settled from South Korea in the 1980s. When Krystal Jung went on a family vacation in South Korea during the early 2000s, she was only five years old then, Kyrstal Jung and her sister Jessica Jung. She was discovered by the talent agency S.M. Entertainment. She has offered her a cameo appearance in Shinhwa's "Wedding March" music video.

The said agency offered the Jung sisters some singing and dancing lessons so that they can be given professional training for a singing career. However, their parents not accepted the offer and only allowed Jessica Jung to join the said agency because Krystal was still young at that time.

Fast forward to 2002, where Kyrstal Jung started participating in television commercials like Lotte commercial alongside South Korean actress Han Ga-in. In 2006, her parents finally allowed her to join S.M. Entertainment, and the agency then enrolled her in dance classes where she attended training for three years before debuting as a part of f(x) in 2009.
