Are you guys ready for the fourth season of OCN's Voice? We bet you are! Finally, it has has been confirmed that they will release a new season next year!
On October 20, news outlets reported that Voice is in the process of casting for their forthcoming 4th season. The new season is in talks to premiere in June 2021. Following these reports, OCN officially confirmed that the hit drama is having their come back on the small screen for another season next year. However, OCN has not released the premiere date since it has not been set yet as of the moment.
One representative of the network shared that a brand new season is set to broadcast next year and added that the final details have not yet been confirmed.
Voice is a South Korean television series that stars famous actors Jang Hyuk and Lee Ha Na. It previously aired every Saturday and Sunday on OCN from January 14 to March 12, 2017. Because the drama became a massive hit, a second season titled Voice 2 was produced the following year.
And it didn't end there, as the third season, Voice 3, was broadcast in 2019 and it is now available to watch on the famous international streaming site Netflix!
The story of the series Voice revolves around an emergency call center and its employees who try to fight crime using the limited information from the urgent calls they receive day by day. Jang Hyuk portrays the character of Moo Jin Hyuk, who is known as a "mad dog" detective that became a person full of guilt when unfortunately, his wife was murdered while he was at his work.
Meanwhile, Lee Ha Na takes on the role of Kang Kwon Joo, a strong and tough policewoman who has a special ability. She is gifted with perfect psycho-acoustics skills and went for voice profiling. She was also on her job working as a call center agent when a vicious crime happened and during her investigation, her father was murdered.
After three years, Moo Jin Hyuk and Kang Kwon Joo will team up called as the "Golden Time team". Together, they solve cases and chasing after the serial killer who took the precious lives of their beloved ones.
The ratings for Voice was able to set new records for OCN dramas when it broadcasted in Korea, it proves that it is a massive hit among its viewers. Voice is known to be one of the highest rated dramas in Korean cable television history and ranked first among cable TV dramas for many consecutive weeks.
However, halfway of the airing of the series, the show was submitted for Korea's censorship board review due to viewers' complaints of it showing excessive over violence. Then, it has subsequently issued an advisory warning.
OCN decided to change the viewing rating from the original of 15+ to 19+ for episodes 11, 12 and 16 to be able to create a story that is relatable and realistic as possible.
