Catch a Glimpse of Kim So Hyun, Ji Soo, and Lee Ji Hoon's Chemistry in Behind-the-Scenes Video for 'River Where the Moon Rises'

Upcoming drama of KBS2 TV, "River Where the Moon Rises," released a sneak peek of the cast's chemistry through the behind-the-scenes video from their very first script reading!

The drama is based on the classic Goguryeo folktale, which tells the love story of Pyeongchang (Kim So Hyun) and On Dal (Ji Soo). Pyeonggang, also known as Yeom Ga Jin, is an ambitious woman who desires to become the first-ever woman to lead Goguryeo. Because of this desire, she uses On Dal's feelings for her to get what she wants.

Pyeonggang will be portrayed by the talented actress Kim So Hyun. Her character is a wise and reasonable princess who is raised as a soldier.

Ji Soo, on the other hand, will take on the role of On Dal, a peaceful and pure man who will do anything, even going against his principles just to protect Pyeonggang.

The elite general Go Geon in the drama will be starred by Lee Ji Hoon. He is as perfect as he can be and for the first time in his life, he desires Pyeonggang to be his lover and dives into an intense fight to win her heart.

Other cast members include the award-winning actor Kang Ha Neul, who will star as On Hyup, On Dal's father and the chief of the Sunnobu tribe and the general for Goguryeo.

Choi Yoo Hwa will star as Hae Mo Yong, a woman who is committed to controlling Goguryeo and does what she wants with it. She is known to have a beautiful face with a meticulous personality. She possesses a special ability to foresee the future. She will get entangled with Go Geon, which will add excitement to the drama.

During the drama's script reading event, Kim So Hyun, Ji Soo, and Lee Ji Hoon were able to discuss their respective roles and how they can relate to them.


In the behind-the-scenes video, Kim So Hyun talked about her character as Pyeonggang. The actress expressed that since her character has two personalities, she will try her very best to highlight the differences between them with her acting. She went on sharing that she is somehow similar to Pyeonggang who possesses a sense of strong will.

Meanwhile, Ji Soo illustrated his character as On Dal as a person who may look like a tough man but is also childish. He shared that he and On Dal share the same personality.

Lee Ji Hoon described his character Go Geon as charming and manly. The actor shared that there is still a lot of attributes that Go Geon has that he hasn't been able to show the public before.
