It is confirmed that Kim So Hyun will join talented Korean actresses Jun Ji Hyun and Seo Ji Hye's agency!

Last Friday (January 15) the actress' departure from her previous agency E&T Story Entertainment was announced. They issued an official statement declaring that the actress would be leaving the agency.

The full statement reads:

"Hello, this is E&T Story Entertainment.

After a long discussion with actress Kim So Hyun, the agency and the actress have reached a mutual agreement that E&T Entertainment will be ending its management of her activities.

We would like to respect the wishes of actress Kim So Hyun, who has been with us since 2018, and we will still continue to cheer for her in the future.

The agency would like to thank actress Kim So Hyun, who has stayed with us and trusted us for years, and also we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the fans who showed their unending love to the actress. We hope that you will continue to support actress Kim So Hyun and show your unchanging love and interest in her in the future as well.

Thank you."

In November 2020, a source from Culture Depot confirmed that they had a meeting with Kim So Hyun to talk about her possibility of transferring to the said agency in the future. But back then, it was declared that nothing had yet been decided.

Moving forward, on January 18, CultureDepot agency finally revealed that Kim So Hyun has signed an exclusive contract with them. The actress expressed that she's really thankful to share this great news at the beginning of the year. She continued that she will work hard to show more improvement in her projects in the future.

CultureDepot, a subsidiary of Studio Dragon, is a production and management company that is also home to talented actors Jun Ji Hyun, Seo Ji Hye, Yoon Ji Min, Yun Ji On, and Han Dong Ho.

Kim So Hyun was born on June 4, 1999. The 21-year-old actress started her career in the entertainment industry in 2006 as a child actress and became widely recognized for portraying the character of a villain young queen-to-be in "Moon Embracing the Sun" (2012) and a murderer's teenage daughter who falls into tragedy in "Missing You" (2013).

The actress was dubbed as the "Nation's Little Sister," "Queen of Child Actors," and has established herself as the top Hallyu star. She is famous in Asia and is considered one of the highest-paid actresses in South Korea.


Meanwhile, it seems that this year will be a busy year for Kim So Hyun. Currently, the actress is preparing for the release of her brand new historical drama "River Where the Moon Rises," airing in February. She is also gearing up for the second season of "Love Alarm," scheduled to broadcast in the first half of 2021!
