The upcoming historical drama "River Where the Moon Rises" released a sneak peek of its lead actor Ji Soo, portraying his character as On Dal.
The drama features the love story of two characters, Pyonggang and On Dal. They are the main characters of the classic Goguryeo folktale. To star as Pyeonggang, also known as Yeom Ga Jin, is actress Kim So Hyun, who is an ambitious woman who aims to become the first female to lead Goguryeo. She is born a princess and raised a soldier who dreams big and has limitless ambitions. In order to fulfill her desire, she uses On Dal's (Ji Soo) feelings.
In the newly-released stills, Ji Soo transforms as his character On Dal who wore ragged clothes with messy tied hair as a simple young man from Goguryeo. Then, another photo exhibits On Dal tentatively observes his surroundings with a fallen deer in front of him. It seems like he's trying to uncover the events that occurred before he arrived and what could have caused to deer to die as he shows his non-violent nature and love for everything on Earth.
The next photo shows On Dal on his violent side oppressing someone with just one hand. This man seems to be a hunter. He effortlessly holds up the man who appears to be much bigger than him but On Dal's strength is very obvious and it's displayed in the photo.

On Dal may be a gentleman who wants to maintain peace, but he won't stop using his strength to stop those who create havoc. Throughout the stills released, On Dal's intimidating gaze is steady emphasizing his astonishing presence.
Now, viewers are even more curious to witness Ji Soo's role as On Dal who is a man who starts off as a passionate youth who keeps peace in the forest.
The drama's production team shared with Ji Soo's extraordinary ability to immerse himself in his role, he is able to bring to life the real On Dal in the drama. On Dal may seem unsophisticated but he is a charismatic man who is there for someone who needs him.
The production crew is very confident that he will be able to capture the hearts of the ladies tuning in to dramas in the first half of 2021.

The staff continued asking everyone to anticipate the upcoming historical drama "River Where the Moon Rises" while looking forward to how the passionate On Dal, who is a strong peacemaker, changes after crossing paths with Pyeonggang.

"River Where the Moon Rises" is scheduled for broadcast on February 15, following the ending of "Royal Secret Agent".
