As Lee Jong Suk graces Esquire Korea magazine's newest cover, the actor also shared some of his experiences before and during his military service.
The 31-year-old heartthrob honestly confessed that the magazine photoshoot and interview was his first official activity after he left the military. Lee Jong Suk also expressed that because he has been out for almost two years in the industry, he is feeling nervous to be back to work.
The actor said:
"I was very nervous. I used to be a model, and I was very comfortable with photoshoots. But today, I was feeling tense that I didn't know how I should move my body during the pictorial."

The team complimented Lee Jong Suk that he was looking undeniably great in the photos -- the actor giggled and said, "I think I am becoming better now as I engage myself with doing more work. I really wish it will come out well."
He added that it will be the first time that his fans will be seeing him after almost two years, and he even gained 10 kilograms that made him undergo a strict diet to the point of fasting for days before the magazine pictorial, "I have been dieting for days, and it was not easy because I can't go to the gym to work out. I had to lose weight through home training and a diet regimen."
He was also asked if he wanted to do something after leaving the military but wasn't able to because of the pandemic. Lee Jong Suk replied, "To be honest, I didn't have any spare time before I entered the military, and so I don't feel bored of not being able to spend leisure time outside because of the pandemic."
His mandatory service also felt like a long break for him, because he used to think about his projects and busy schedules before, but when he was in the service, Lee Jong Suk confessed that he felt relaxed and all he had to do was follow the tasks given to him.
The interviewer asked if there is a memorable experience for him during his time serving the military, and he responded, "Given that I was a public service worker, I became more interested in social welfare. I also planned to get a social welfare certificate while serving, but I gave up because I had to complete 120 working hours on site."
Lee Jong Suk reminisced about his past acting projects and is feeling worried of how his future will be. He shared, "I am not sure what will happen in the future, but I hope I can be more comfortable than before. One time when I looked at the camcorder and played it many times to watch my acting, I became more distressed because I blamed myself."
But the actor also rest assured to minimize doing those things in order for him to be more optimistic and learn to love himself first.
